Insight into my new WIP:
A fairytale is defined as a short story that entails fictional and mythical creatures, such as dwarves, elves, fairies, dragons, trolls, gnomes and goblins, along with elements of magic and enchantments. There are many disputes about the definition of a fairy tale, and the classifications, although a common agreed matter is that they do not need to include fairies. The poet W. H. Auden famously declared that fairy tales are ‘among the few indispensable, common-property books upon which Western culture can be founded . . . it is hardly too much to say that these tales rank next to the Bible in importance’ (Haase, 1991, 353).
