Insight into my new WIP:

A fairytale is defined as a short story that entails fictional and mythical creatures, such as dwarves, elves, fairies, dragons, trolls, gnomes and goblins, along with elements of magic and enchantments[1]. There are many disputes about the definition of a fairy tale, and the classifications, although a common agreed matter is that they do not need to include fairies[2]. The poet W. H. Auden famously declared that fairy tales are ‘among the few indispensable, common-property books upon which Western culture can be founded . . . it is hardly too much to say that these tales rank next to the Bible in importance’ (Haase, 1991, 353).
